School Exchange Program

Overview

Imagine your classroom swapped with another school’s halfway around the world- this is what our School-to-School Exchange Program is all about. Schools partner with international schools to host students, teachers, and cultural experiences. Then, in the same school year, your students and teachers travel abroad to visit that partner school, stay in host families, attend classes, share projects, and deepen global understanding.

This reciprocal exchange builds friendships, strengthens language and cultural skills, supports academic growth, and gives students real-life exposure beyond textbooks. It’s more than travel- it’s a world classroom.

Our short-term immersion program is the equivalence of the school exchange programs as an alternative for schools that may not be ready at the time for an exchange visit but will like to their school to participate in the global immersion program.

Program Dates

We work with each partner school to set a timeline that fits their academic calendar. A typical schedule might look like this:

  • Planning & Partner Matching: ~12-18 months ahead
  • Initial Hosting Period: Fall term (students abroad visit you; you host international students)
  • Return Visit: Spring (your school visits partner abroad)
  • Duration of Each Hosting/Visiting Period: Usually 1-2 weeks

Flexibility is possible: dates can shift to match school breaks, exam schedules, or seasonal considerations.

Costs & Inclusions

Costs depend on factors like distance, group size, accommodation type, travel logistics, and local activities. Here’s what we include (and what’s usually not included):

Included in the Program Fee:
  • Reciprocal travel and lodging for the visiting group (flight or transport support, depending on agreement)
  • Local ground transport (school visits, excursions)
  • Organized school activities and cultural projects between partner schools
  • Orientation for students, teachers, and host families (as applicable)
  • Coordination services: matching schools, planning logistics, overseeing exchange timeline

Eligibility

For a school (and its students) to participate, we look for:

  • Schools willing to commit to both hosting and traveling (reciprocal exchange) within a single academic year
  • Minimum group size (e.g. 10-15 students plus accompanying teachers or chaperones)
  • Students who are academically in good standing, able to represent their school well, and interested in cultural exchange
  • Teachers/faculty sponsors who will lead both the hosting and travel phases, coordinate logistics, and support students

Academic Info

This program is designed to deliver real academic benefits:

  • Students attend regular classes at the partner school during visits
  • Cross-class projects, presentations, or shared curricula can be developed (e.g. history, language, science) to tie into what students are studying back home
  • Teachers coordinate in advance so the exchange aligns with learning goals/transcript needs
  • Students receive documentation of participation, project work, and possibly credit or grades that may count toward school requirements

Orientation

We invest in thorough orientation to ensure students, teachers, and families are prepared:

  • Pre-departure orientation for students & families: culture, logistics, expectations, safety
  • Teacher/Chaperone training: duties, communications, handling emergencies
  • In-country orientation upon arrival: meeting local staff, understanding host school routines, safety and behavior guidelines
