Welcome to Ghana- a country where history meets innovation, and learning goes far beyond the classroom.

Our 2–4 Week Ghana Immersion Program invites students to explore one of Africa’s most stable, welcoming, and culturally rich destinations. Through partnerships with top local schools and community organizations, Global Travel Holdings creates a hands-on educational experience rooted in leadership, service, and self-discovery.

Students learn, serve, and grow in real communities- gaining valuable cultural insight, global competence, and an edge that shines on college applications.

Program Dates

  • Available during major school breaks and selected terms
    • Spring: March–April | Summer: June–July | Fall: September–October
    • Duration: 2 or 4 weeks
    • Enrollment opens 10–12 weeks before departure (limited spaces)

Included in Program Fee:
• Enrollment in partnered local or international schools in Ghana
• Safe and fully supervised dorm or homestay accommodation
• 3 balanced meals per day (local & continental)
• Airport pickup and local transportation

• Round-trip airfare
• Visa and travel insurance

Eligibility

  • Ages 13–17 (individuals, homeschoolers, or small groups)
    • Open to all academic levels- no language prerequisites
    • Enthusiastic learners eager for cultural exploration
    • Good academic and behavioral record
    • Valid passport and health clearance for travel to Ghana

Academic Experience

Students join interactive learning environments designed to expand their global perspective:
• Attend classes in local schools alongside Ghanaian peers
• Participate in STEM, cultural studies, and creative arts projects
• Learn about African history, innovation, and sustainability
• Take part in leadership workshops and service learning
• Earn a certificate of completion for homeschool or portfolio use

Accommodation

Safe, comfortable, and community-oriented:
• Shared dorm-style housing or approved homestay with host families
• 24-hour supervision by trained coordinators
• Clean, modern facilities with separate rooms for boys and girls
• Nutritious meals prepared daily

Activities & Excursions

Ghana is filled with history, beauty, and rhythm- and our programs capture it all.
Students will:
• Walk the historic corridors of Cape Coast Castle and reflect on world history
• Learn traditional drumming and dance from local performers
• Visit Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and explore Ghana’s independence story
• Take part in community service projects supporting youth and education
• Enjoy nature excursions to Aburi Botanical Gardens and Shai Hills Reserve
• Experience Accra’s art markets, music, and street food

Week 1:
