Set in the heart of Nairobi-  Africa’s vibrant hub of innovation, culture, and natural wonder-  our partner institutions invite students to embark on an unforgettable summer journey that blends wildlife exploration, STEM innovation, cultural exchange, and service learning.

Over the course of two thrilling weeks, students will connect classroom knowledge with real-world discovery, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, diverse communities, and the timeless rhythm of Africa.

Sample Itinerary –  2 Weeks in Nairobi

Day 1 –  Arrival & Orientation

  • Airport pickup and transfer to campus in Nairobi.
  • Welcome ceremony, team-building games, and introduction to Kenyan culture.
  • Evening campfire and storytelling with local youth leaders.

Day 2 –  Explore Nairobi

  • Morning: Guided tour of Nairobi National Museum –  explore Kenya’s deep cultural and historical roots.
  • Afternoon: Visit the KICC rooftop for panoramic city views.
  • Evening: Reflection circle & goal-setting workshop.

Day 3 –  Wildlife & Conservation

  • Full-day adventure at Nairobi National Park –  a rare wildlife reserve just outside the city!
  • Learn about conservation, tracking, and sustainable tourism from park rangers.
  • Evening: Group debrief & wildlife photography challenge.

Day 4 –  Language & Culture

  • Morning: Swahili for Travelers –  fun conversational classes.
  • Afternoon: African cooking session –  make chapati, pilau, and kachumbari with local chefs.
  • Evening: Cultural dance & drumming workshop.

Day 5 –  Innovation in Action

  • Morning: Visit to iHub Nairobi, Africa’s leading tech innovation center.
  • Learn how young entrepreneurs are solving real-world problems using AI, robotics, and sustainability.
  • Afternoon: Group design challenge –  “Create a Tech Solution for Tomorrow.”
  • Evening: Movie night featuring African cinema.

Day 6 –  Service & Community Impact

  • Full-day community project: Partner with local youth initiatives to build water filters, plant trees, or teach basic digital skills in schools.
  • Reflection & discussion on leadership and global citizenship.

Day 7 –  Adventure Day

  • Morning: Karura Forest –  hiking, biking, and zip-lining among lush green canopies.
  • Picnic lunch by the waterfalls.
  • Evening: Camp talent show and open mic night.

Day 8 –  Safari Expedition

  • Early departure to Maasai Mara National Reserve (overnight stay).
  • Safari drives through the savannah-  see lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras in their natural habitat.
  • Evening campfire under the stars with Maasai guides, learning about their traditions and conservation efforts.

Day 9 –  Maasai Cultural Exchange

  • Morning: Visit a local Maasai village –  learn traditional beadwork, storytelling, and dance.
  • Afternoon: Travel back to Nairobi.
  • Evening: Journaling & reflection on cultural immersion.

Day 10 –  Art, Music & Fashion

  • Visit Karen Village Art Center –  meet local designers, musicians, and sculptors.
  • Afternoon: Create your own African art or jewelry piece to take home.
  • Evening: Mini African fashion show & music jam night.

Day 11 –  STEAM & Sustainability Workshops

  • Morning: STEAM labs –  robotics, renewable energy experiments, or wildlife tracking using drones.
  • Afternoon: Guest lecture on climate innovation in Africa.
  • Evening: Sports and recreation (soccer, volleyball, or swimming).

Day 12 –  Excursion to Giraffe Centre & Elephant Sanctuary

  • Meet, feed, and learn about endangered species conservation.
  • Afternoon: Nature walk at Oloolua Forest.
  • Evening: Cultural quiz night & group games.

Day 13 –  Camp Showcase & Awards

  • Present your projects, artwork, and memories to peers and mentors.
  • Awards for teamwork, creativity, and leadership.
  • Farewell party with African music, BBQ, and dance.

Day 14 –  Departure                          

  • Closing ceremony, certificate presentations, and departure for the airport.
